The cultural and historical relics displayed in the museum can roughly be classified into: pictures, files, materials, models, warrants, celluloid, signs, calligraphy works, charts, books, paintings, sculptures, audio tapes, videos, documents and photographic films, totaling more than 17,000 pieces. Each of them is given a registration code, storage place and category label, and can be easily located using the computer management system. All the displayed relics include a brief explanation in both Chinese and English to let visitors understand their backgrounds and content, and to achieve the expected promotional and educational effects.
The Air Force Museum has become another attraction in southern Taiwan. While a reservation is required for organization, school and group visits from Tuesday to Friday, the Academy’s officers and cadets as well as the public are welcome to visit on the weekends without a reservation. Thanks to a wide collection of displays, the Air Force Museum houses 22 thematic exhibition areas for visitors to have a better understanding of the cultural and historical relics.
