DATE:2018-05-09
To strengthen marine search and rescue, R.O.C. Air Force Academy’s 11th Service Squadron conducted a “regional search and rescue exercise.” In this exercise, various situations resulting from an aircraft crashing into the sea were simulated, including a targeted area map, position identification, use of a flare gun, and rescuing those who fell into the sea. With practical exercises, relevant rescue units can be effectively integrated. The intense and lifelike exercise reflected what usual training had achieved, whereby relevant units’ speed of response and mobilization was verified, in order to comprehensively improve the overall regional rescue performance.
