MIG-19 (Farmer)
History
This MIG-19 was driven by anti-communist hero Jiang Wen-Hao from Fujian’s Longxi Airport and was voluntarily surrendered to Taiwan on September 6, 1989. It was a duplication of the Soviet-made MIG-19 Fighter, equipped with two type-6 axial-flow engines of each with 7,165 pounds thrust power. Its maximum speed is 780 nautical miles per hour and service ceiling is 56,000 feet. It carries three 30-milimeter cannons, and can be equipped with 32 rockets or four 550 pounds bombs. It was then the main force of the Mainland China Air Force fleet.
