History
The AT-11 was made by the Beech Co. of the US, equipped with two P&W R-985-AN-3 nine-cylinder air cooling engines of each with a maximum of 450 horse powers. Its maximum speed is 215 miles per hour, flying range is 850 miles, and service ceiling is 20,000 feet. It is able to carry 0.30 inches machine guns, ten 100-pound bombs, and a team of two pilots plus 5 to 6 crew members. It came into the Air Force service in 1950 for advanced flying training at the Air Force Academy. Officially retired in 1958, it was handed over to the Far East Airlines and then reequipped as a cargo, and finally returned to the Air Force for exhibition in June 1996.
