RF-101A “Voodoo” Reconnaissance Aircraft
History
The RF-101A was made by the McDonnell Co. of the US, equipped with two J57-P-13 axial-flow engines of each with 15,000 pounds thrust power. It has a maximum speed of 945 nautical miles per hour, service ceiling of 58,000 feet, the KA-2 and KA-1 cameras, and no arms. It was also the first supersonic jet reconnaissance aircraft used by the ROC Air Force. It came into the ROC Air Force service in 1959, and was officially retired in 1968.
