S-2A Anti-Sub Jet
History
The S-2A was made by the Grumman Co. of the US, equipped with two R-1820-82W reciprocating engines of each with a maximum of 1,525 horse powers. Its maximum speed is 249 nautical miles per hour and service ceiling is 23,000 feet. It could carry deep-water bombs and torpedoes with gross weight of 4,810 pounds. It began to join the ROC Air Force service in 1967, in charge of the missions of detecting and attacking submarines in the Taiwan Straits, and was used by the anti-submarine squadrons. It was officially retired in 1994.
