History
The O-1G was made by the Cessna Co. of the US, equipped with a 213 hp O-47O-11 reciprocating engine. Its maximum speed is 90 nautical miles per hour and service ceiling is 20,000 feet. It can be equipped with smoke rockets or smoke bombs. Easy to maintain and suitable for short take-off and landing on advanced bases, it performed well in close support operations during the Vietnam War. It started forward air control and costal patrol missions in 1971, and was officially retired in 1985.
