Missions and Organizations
History:
Basic flight training is the foundation of becoming a pilot in the R.O.C. Basic flight training is the introductory training in the department of aviation training, which uses turbo propeller airplanes to do basic maneuvering, flight formations and basic tactics. The department of Basic Flight Training was founded when the Hangzhou Jianqiao flight school was built in 1931 June first. In 1949, the flight school moved to Taiwan Gangshan, and the department of Basic Flight Training was officially founded. Since 1984, the original airplanes were replaced with T-34 instructor aircraft, which has been responsible for training about three thousand pilots until the modern day.

Training Objective:
Basic Flight Training is designed to train pilots and make professional aviators, with the result being high quality flight officers.

Training Emphasis:
1.Learn basic aviation theory and techniques.
2.Abide by flight discipline.
3.Understand the components of aircrafts, familiar with every flight procedure.
4.Master techniques to build confidence.

Training Methods:
The method utilized in this department is designed with a curriculum that includes academic and practical training under the guidance qualified instructors to produce educated and honorable pilots for the defense of R.O.C.

Department-wide Objectives:
1.Increase foreign language abilities in preparation for cross training abroad.
2.Instilled professionalism within the cadre corps so that we have a fit and capable aviation force.
3.Increase proficiency to ensure a safe flying environment.
4.Establish a department-wide culture of personal responsibility for flight safety. To strictly adhere to the risk analysis management guideline. To ensure that each pilot is cleared to fly before training. Ultimately to prevent any flight accidents and ensure safety.
