“Look... to your right!”
The new students of the Class of 2025 walked through the Arc de Triomphe with their heads held high after hearing the loud command of a cadre in training, which symbolized that they were officially part of the Air Force Academy and were ready to meet challenges and take on trials.
“New Student Orientation Ceremony” is one of our long-standing traditions, where the student marching band, the flag team, and the trainee cadet brigade lead the new students to the entrance of the Air Force Academy. The parade is a demonstration of the new students’ determination to “be firm, indomitable, and ambitious” to the president.
Afterward, the president presided over the “Awarding of Shoulder Decorations,” during which each grade’s senior officers and cadres in training pinned shoulder decorations for the new students. It was heartwarming and touching. It is hoped that the new students will grow and thrive with unflinching courage and be proud to be a part of the Air Force.
